How do I use the directory map?

Open Directory Map to see where students live on a map, filter by grade, and select a pin to see who lives there.

Open the directory map from the left menu to see where students live. It is useful for planning carpools or finding neighbors.

Use the map

  1. Select Directory Map in the left menu. The map shows a pin for each visible student's address.
  2. Use the grade chips to show only certain grades. The chip that is on is solid with a check mark.
  3. Siblings at the same address share one pin with a number. Select it to see each child.
  4. Select View Profile to open a student's page. On the iPhone app, selecting a number for several students lists their names, and choosing one opens that student's details.

The web uses Google Maps. The iPhone, iPad and Mac apps use Apple Maps.

Map one group

A Map link on your starred students, on one of your lists, or on a club or team roster opens the same map showing only that group. A Back link returns you to where you came from. On the app, look for the small map button in the toolbar.

Privacy

A family can choose to hide its home address from other parents. Hidden addresses are left off the map, including group maps. Opening a group's map never shows a pin you could not already see. School administrators see every address.

Good to know

  • A pin is only as accurate as the address your school has on file.
  • Lists and stars are personal. A map of your list shows your list, and other people cannot open it.
