Build 4October 13, 2026
Hello, school community
Flux Student Directory comes to iPhone and iPad, alongside the website. Find families, see what is for lunch and keep up with school news, all private to your school.
- iPhone, iPad and Mac app
- 27.0 (4)
Flux Platform Administration
New
- Add new schools, track their contracts and see how every school is doing from one private dashboard.
- Operators sign in with two-step verification, so the dashboard stays in the right hands.
- Every action Flux staff take on a school is written to an audit log.
- Flux support can ask a school's Senior Admins for time-limited access to help with a problem. Nothing happens until they say yes.
- Post an announcement banner for every school or just one, and schedule when it starts and ends.
School Administration
New
- Build your school's directory by adding students and families, or bring in a whole roster from a spreadsheet.
- Invite parents and staff by email. Only the people you invite can join your school.
- Senior Admins and Junior Admins: share the work, with the biggest decisions kept for Senior Admins.
- Share notices, polls, sign-ups, permission slips and documents with exactly the families who need them.
- Fill in the school calendar, lunch menus, staff directory and your teams, clubs and groups.
- Add your school's logo, hours and contact details so families can find them.
Web Application
New
- Sign in with a password, a magic link or an emailed code.
- Look up any family in your school's directory, with photos, phone numbers and addresses.
- Star the families you contact often, jot private notes and keep your own lists.
- See where families live on a map of your school community.
- Choose how much of your profile shows in the directory.
- Read the school calendar, see the week's lunch menu and respond to notices, polls, sign-ups and permission slips.
- Belong to more than one school? Switch between them with one tap.
- Works on your phone's browser too, and you can add it to your home screen.
iPhone / iPad App
New
- The whole directory in a native app made for iPhone and iPad.
- Unlock with Face ID or Touch ID.
- Call, text or email a family straight from their entry, or save them to Contacts.
- Message everyone in a group at once by text or email.
- Browse the calendar, lunch menus, notices, polls, sign-ups, permission slips and documents.
- See the school community on a map.
- A companion Apple Watch app lets you look up students and families from your wrist.
- Your recent directory stays on your phone, so you can still look people up with a poor connection.
Fixed
- If the app cannot reach the internet, it now shows a calm "You're offline" screen with Retry and Sign Out buttons instead of an error.
