# I forgot my password. How do I get back in?

Choose Forgot your password? on the Sign In screen, or use Send magic link to sign in without a password.

On the Sign In screen, choose **Forgot your password?**, enter your email, and follow the message we send you to choose a new password. If you only want to get in, **Send magic link** signs you in without a password.

## Reset your password

1. On the Sign In screen, choose **Forgot your password?**
2. Enter your email address.
3. Open the email we send. It has a button and a 6-digit code.
4. Select the button, or type the code on the "Check your email" screen in the app, and choose a new password.

## Sign in with a magic link instead

1. On the Sign In screen, enter your email and choose **Send magic link**.
2. Open the email. It has a button and a 6-digit code that is good for one hour.
3. Select the button, or type the code. In the app, tap **Sign in with code**.

The code works from any browser or device, so you can open the email on one device and sign in on another.

## Good to know

- The screen always says to check your email, even if the address has no account. That keeps the form from revealing who is registered. If nothing arrives, check the spelling and your spam folder, or ask your school to add you.
- You can also use **Continue with Apple** or **Continue with Google** if you use the same email your school has.
- If the app is asking for a code from an authenticator app, that is two-factor authentication, not the email code.
