# How do I leave a school or delete my account?

On the web, open Account Management to leave one school or delete your account. The iPhone app also has Delete Account.

Sign in at www.studentdirectory.app, open your account menu and choose **Account Management**. There you can leave one school or delete your whole account.

## Leave one school

1. On the web, open your account menu and choose **Account Management**.
2. Under **Your schools**, find the school.
3. Select **Leave this school**. It happens at once, with no extra confirmation.

This removes your access to that school only. Leaving a school is done on the web, and the iPhone app does not have a Leave control.

## Delete your account

1. On the web, open **Account Management** and go to the **Danger Zone** at the bottom. It lists every school and linked student the deletion affects.
2. Type DELETE to confirm and select **Delete my account**.

In the iPhone app, **Profile** has **Delete Account** too.

## What happens next

Deleting removes your access immediately. Your data is permanently deleted after 30 days. If you sign in again within those 30 days, everything is restored.

Your private notes, stars and lists go with your account.

## Good to know

- To leave only one school and keep another, use **Leave this school**, not delete.
