# How do I get started with Flux Student Directory?

Install the app or open the website, register with the email your school has on file, confirm it, and sign in.

To get started, create an account with the same email address your school has on file for you, confirm that email, and sign in. The app then finds your school and your children for you.

Flux Student Directory is invitation only. Your school adds your email first, then you register with it.

## On iPhone or iPad

1. Install Flux Student Directory from the App Store. It needs iOS or iPadOS 26.5 or later.
2. Tap **Sign up**, enter the email your school has and a password of at least 8 characters, then tap **Create account**.
3. Open the message we send you and tap **Confirm my email**. It works in any browser, including the one inside your mail app. Then return to the app.
4. Enter your email and password and tap **Sign in**. If you prefer no password, tap **Send magic link** and use the button or the 6-digit code from the email, then tap **Sign in with code**.
5. On the **Welcome to Flux** screen, check that your school and your children look right, then tap **Continue**.

The app may offer Face ID or Touch ID to unlock the directory, and may ask to send notifications. Both are optional.

## On the web

1. Go to www.studentdirectory.app and open the **Create an account** page.
2. Enter your school email and a password of at least 8 characters, then select **Create account**.
3. Select **Confirm my email** in the message we send you.
4. On the **Welcome to Flux** page, check your school and children, then select **Go to directory**.

The web app works in any current browser on a phone, tablet or computer. It is the same account as the app.

## Good to know

- Not sure which email your school has? Ask the school office before you register.
- If the email says the link was already used, your email is already confirmed. Sign in.
- There is no Android app. On Android, use the website.
