School administrators, both Junior and Senior Admins, can always post to the News Feed. A Senior Admin can also give any other active member the Stream Author right. Everyone else reads, favorites and saves posts.

Available when your school turns on the News Feed.

## How you become a Stream Author

A Senior Admin opens **Manage Access** and, in the **Permissions** section, chooses your name under **Let someone write Stream posts**, then selects **Give posting access**. A **Stream Author** chip then appears on your row. Junior Admins can see the section but cannot give or remove access.

## How you know you can post

You see a **New post** button at the top of the News Feed, on the web and in the app. Readers never see it or any writing tool.

## Before your first post

The first time you write a post, you read your school's posting policy and select **I have read this**. You are asked again whenever the school changes the policy. The default policy asks authors to share only what families would expect to see, and to check the school's no-photo list.

## If your access is removed

When an administrator removes your Stream Author chip, writing tools disappear right away. Your earlier posts stay in the feed. Your unpublished drafts stay hidden from you and remain with the school.

## Good to know

- Posts are seen by every parent and staff member at the school, so write for the whole community.
- Administrators can remove any post. You can delete your own.
- If you do not see **New post**, ask a Senior Admin at your school to check your access.
